We were in our 3-4 defense only about half of the time last year (and in most years).
Most offenses put us in our nickel look quite a bit.
Please explain to me how an outside pass rusher in a nickel defense is different than an outside pass rusher in a 4-3 defense?
And in the nickel defense, Corn had plenty of opportunities to shine the past 3 seasons.
And in the nickel defense (which usually poses more of a passing threat and more pass rushing opportunities), he still got passed by a true freshman.
That outside technique in the nickel was played by Corn AND Jordan.
I'm not sure why people are trying to make it out like it's a completely different position.
I didn't invent football. I only know what I've been taught, seen, and learned.
How is the 4-3 DE different schematically from an outside pass rusher in the nickel?
I don't see it.
No it wasn't buddy. he was not used at OLB last year. what part of he was 280+ don't you get. he wasn't able to move well enough with all the added weight. All we did while in nickel was remove a DE and add a CB. guys like wash a drew were not part of the nickel package. who blocked the FG against bama? he will be the next dawg to be better at the next level. i just hope the falcons get him
