the instate vs. out of state recruiting debate as I am?
Beyond tired of it.
Complainers gotta complain about something... It's just who they are.
Guarantee the very same people cried for Bobo to get fired.
Meat Cleaver Weaver and brother Mike
The list goes on and on..
Give me DGDs!
Insanely i found myself defending Bobo this weekend to some friends and family. Yes....this past weekend, despite our incredible offensive production last year. People still griping about "predictable playcalling" and "why didn't you spike it w/ 5s left in the SEC Championship????".
Our playcalling is ONLY predictable after the play..Tell those folks to try "Predicting" BEFORE the play and see how many they get right
Starting a thread on it is a GREAT way to quell that debate, spot on good sir.
this is what drives me nuts, LND. people who claim to be able to "predict" the play can at best predict run/pass. can they predict personnel groupings? matchups? route combinations? protections? they also forget that murray has a lot of discretion at the LOS to make changes based on what he sees. i was infuriated during the 2011 season in particular, because i thought bobo did an outstanding job with a unit that had some serious deficiencies. but all i ever heard was "first and bomb" and "draw on 3rd down".
i'll admit, the draw on 3rd down thing is pretty funny though.
Yep, worn slap the f#%k out.
"If you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong."
i am . its absurd. as long as they can produce i dont care if they come from mars.as billy martin said when asked about playing reggie jackson. id play hitler if i thought he would help me win. GO DAWGS!
No team can recruit the 100+ prospects in Georgia most years. Most players don't fit a given system. Any instate school must recruit more in-state players than they really want to take. Yet they can go out of state and concentrate on two, three, six players, sign one or two and look like geniuses. We do it in NC, FL, other places. UA, AU, Ole Miss, USCjr, Clem, adn now the OSU are doing it here. I will never know but my guess is if UGA can sign 75% of the players the coaches really want, I think they have done well.

Strange how in the NFL that on 3rd and 18, they run a draw
IMO, we need to develop better relationships with our High School coaches. In today's times when families are broken and kids pretty much raise themselves, they tend to look to their football coaches for guidance.
