Josh Harvey-Clemons said his current weight is 218 pounds.
He says he has not practiced yet at OLB this spring.

He will be filling Tree's role. He is a Tree clone is you compare their HS tape. Plus we are loaded at OLB. We need help in the inside. JHC, AH52, Jenkins, and Floyd.

He has 6 months to get 10-15 more pounds. If he can gain 2 pounds a month he'll be about 230 by the time the clemson game
That's about where he was last time he stated his weight I believe. Think he said he was 216 in December if i'm not mistaken. I was hoping he would be around 225. He still has the frame of a WR really.
Will be very interesting to see where he ends up in 2013. Who is a good player to compare JHC's situation to? I cant recall a player that played both the safety, and OLB positions.
I was kind of hoping he would have a definite position for 2013. Whether it's OLB, ILB, or even safety. It's a lot harder to learn all of these positions, and coverages than some give it credit for. Still I understand the situation considering his weight.
gentry, just off your observations, is this a good fit for him?
I LOVE JHC at SS. If Reggie Carter and Ramik Wilson can have a solid spring, we will be ok 3-deep with Herrera. We need depth no doubt but JHC in space could be amazing.
Question for G, Rusty, and the board....
Who else currently not working at ILB could possibly see work at ILB this spring or starting fall camp? We need some depth there big time.
What about Bostick? He is already bigger than JHC. Obviously he isn't on campus yet but I could see him playing around 230
God needs a Safety on His team. RIP 21
Don't forget about Tim Kimbrough coming in. Even if he won't be here for spring practice, I still think he can be solid inside for us.
Due to JHC's height I have just never seen his future at the safety position. There just arent any 6'5 safeties. Brandon Browner is the only safety I know of in this height range at 6'4.
Remember Taylor Mays was looked at as a huge safety prospect and he was 6'3. JHC is 6'5. Even if JHC is a safety in 2013 I just dont see that as his position from here out. His future would seem to be LB. His weight just isnt there yet and we need a talnt like that on the field.
I just dont want to see JHC get moved from position to position during his UGA career, and never quite master one in paticular. His potential in through the roof.
No reason to panicked on this one, they just finished mat drills. I'm sure most players are a little lighter in the britches. He will steadily add more back on and we will see him at LB some I have a feeling.
for whatever reason he cannot gain weight easily.its not for a lack of eating thats for sure. wherever he lines up one thing is for sure. he will get to the ball and make plays. GO DAWGS!
I can put 15 pounds on in a week lol
Thomas Davis? Different build than JHC, but same hybrid skill set. He lined up any and everywhere, depending on down and situation, and I expect JHC to do the same.
