Maybe this is news to me but I think even the NFL would have been shocked with AJ leaving early.
Yo AJ you didn't have to announce, everyone knew you couldn't leave early.
Really, if your a GM, would you draft him?
Dawgs on Top!
Next year when he announces he can say I'm taking my talents of hand offs to the NFL where I too can back up a QB like Mark Sanchez...LOL
I thought the exact same thing when I saw his 'Announcement". I sent a txt to some of my buddies and we were all cracking up. Seriously AJ you didn't need to make an announcement. He is getting way to much credit right now.
"HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS"
I honestly believe he can play in the NFL and might even start ONE day. Say what you want to about him, but the kid is pretty good. Is he going to put up huge stats? Prob not! He will be able to manage a game and get the offense in the right play tho. He's a very smart player and is pretty darn accurate with his passes. Just look at how far he has came in 2 yrs. He will prob get drafted by a team that already is good and has a starting QB, and he will be able to sit and learn for a few yrs. Like him or not, but he's a good QB.
Think he is better than some of you guys think
No he really isnt. Hes an average qb with so much talent around him it makes him look good. he will never start in the nfl. mark it down.
Maybe..... But we will see next year when he has to deal with an inexperienced OL that isn't considered the best in college football and "IF" Eddy Lacey decides to declare then all the weight will be on his shoulders. Basically what AM situation has been like in his first 3 years. McCarron has benefited from that his first 3 years and now it will be a different story. Lets see what kind of numbers he puts up with being under pressure.
I'm a pretty big homer myself, however McCarron is basically the same quarterback as Murray with less attempts. We all love to hate on Bama, but this kid is no John Parker Wilson. He really impressed me last year against LSU in the championship. He went right at Matthieu with no fear and exposed him. I'll take Murray eight days a week over him, but if you think he's not going to get drafted in the league, you are mistaken.

Good point! I def think he has taken advantage of great protection and defenses having to front load for run. I think we will see his numbers go down a little and Murray should have better protection. I think Murray throws the deep ball better and more often, but their YPA are similar so maybe not. I was just making the point that he's no slouch and will probably be top five QB next year unless a lot of juniors decide to stay. +1

Johnny Dwight commits to Bama on 6/4/13 ranked the 44th DT in the nation by 247sports and 87 rating a 3 star. Now see the Bama bump.
Looked good throwing that game winning TD.
