1-How many, including myself all thought that after seeing SC play Vandy and KY that this game would be close, but UGA would pull the game out? I think everyone fans, players & coaches all under-estimated just how good they would be at HOME! Let's all remember though that the sun did come up Sunday, and it still only a football game, not LIFE.
2-Also to lower our rules and standards just to win football games is ridiculous. I would rather the university stand and be known for something more than just winning football games. Preparing these young men for life is much more important than the MNC. Discipline and rules are something we all need in life. I love to win as much as anybody, but not at all costs!
I don't believe you have to lower your standards or ethics to win football games. You can do things the right way and win multiple championships if you have the right leadership along with the necessary talent. I think that's an excuse too many of us make for UGA not being more successful. Because we haven't won more than some of our SEC rivals, we just chalk it up to, "oh well, maybe next year, at least we do things the right way". I don't buy it. We can win championships and still do things the right way.
