First I want to say that this season has been and emotional roller coaster for me. From the highs that came with the expectations at the beginning of the season, to the lows that came after our drubbing at USCe, back to the highs of beating UFag and being on the verge of playing for a national championship, to the lows of watching that heart-breaking game get away from us last night. CMR can't win a national title or AM can't win a big game were the prevailing thoughts of many going into the SECCG. I acknowledge that I've been on both sides of the fence. I've supported both and I've doubted whether or not both could get it done. After last night, as heart-broken as I was, I became a true believer in both of these guys again and that's where I'll stay. Yes we lost last night and we haven't gotten the job done in recent years against top competition, but anyone who can't see that this ship is absolutely sailing in the right direction is either blind or agenda driven. The truth is CMR did let the program fall to unacceptable lows but he has shown that he is was and still is capable of building a championship caliber program. And another thing, Mike Bobo is becoming a great OC. We have had to go through growing pains with him, but he is coming into his own. He needs to figure out how to make Keith Marshall more of a factor in big games. I don't think it would hurt him to study how Norm Chow used Reggie Bush at USC. To me Marshall has that kind of ceiling if used correctly. Anyways, my point is I like where the program is headed and I believe that our time will come if we stay on this path.
P.S. Aaron Murray played like a champion last night and like some have said, we won't really appreciate this kid until we don't have him anymore.

Very, very, very well said sir
Outstanding post. You captured my sentiments almost exactly and I bet others feel the same way. After the SC loss I was disillusioned and just plain pissed off.
After this loss it is a completely different set of emotions. I was disappointed, especially for the kids AND the coaches but I haven't felt as proud of this team or felt better about where things seem to be headed in a long time.
I posted last week that I wanted the team that I used to watch from the railroad tracks to show up. They did, big time.
The Heart our players played with made this Grown Man cry. After a nights' reflection, I have to say this is the proudest I have been with a CMR team. I feel for those guys today as they wake up to this as we all as fans had to. I think we can all agree that there is something very special brewing in Athens, GA and I can only hope this is a prelude to much success in the near future. Forever Go Dawgs!
