1) Jarvis Jones... who else? Not sure how many tackles he had this game but he was all over the field. I know he had atleast 1 sack for like 15 yards, just a sick player. Not alot I can say that hasnt already been said.
2)Aaron Murray - For Murray to stay this high he has to keep playing mistake free football and so far hes looked pretty dang good. Lets see how he does now that all the cupcakes are over with and we start the "Grown Man Football" part of the schedule.
3) Marlon Brown ... yes Marlon Brown! I can see what all the fuss was about during preseason. He is really improved and he is catching everything thrown his way... I'm loving it, keep going MB I'm rooting for you.
4) John Jenkins ... Big #6 isnt going to pile up the stats but for 360+ pounds hes the most athletic big man I've ever seen. His important cant be understated because he is the cog that makes this defense go. It ALL starts with him and we couldnt have asked for a better guy to be in this position.
5) Todd Gurley ... YES TODD GURLEY!!! 16 carries for 130 yards(8.1 avg) against Vandy, I ALREADY feel confident something big is about to happen when hes in the backfield. Finally a RB that doesnt trip over an untrimmed blade of grass. Guy is a hoss and I'm glad he'll be back there toting the rock for the next 4 years... at the rate hes going itll probably only be 3! Keith Marshall gets an Honorable Mention because hes looked much better the past 2 games then he did the first 2, he had 10 carries for 82 yards(8.2 avg), also had a nice 52 yard TD run tonight. So far over 4 games ... Gurley - 44 carries 406 yards (9.23 avg) on the season, Marshall - 42 carries 264 yards(6.29 avg) .... we have some STUDS!
I agree with your list but you have to find a place for AH52! He didnt just keep tree's spot warm he has made plays!!!
Todd Gurley is number 3 at worst.
To be honest, Gurley, Murray, and Jarvis are probably interchangeable at this point. Jarvis should be number 1, but you could make an argument for all 3. Such a good dilemma to have.
You can't help but be happy over those YPG averages. . . just ridiculous. I was curious to see how they would fair against true SEC competition and based on their play and the OL performance it just makes me more excited on what they can do. Their running abilities will shape our passing attack all season long.
