This is the first time that I have ever had to do something like this and don't wish it upon anyone else at any point. A very good friend of mine has a nephew that has spent nearly all of his 7 weeks on this earth in the hospital. He was able to come home twice, only to go back the next day. The doctors noticed the problem when he wasn't eating. After numerous tests, they have yet to fully diagnose the problem, but have said that it has something to do with his colon and intestines. They are having to feed him through a feeding tube, however, the bacteria that is in his colon is having an adverse reaction to the formula that they are feeding him. At this point, they haven't really given any kind of long term prognosis. Due to his reaction to the formula, they have had to move him to a new kind of formula that isn't currently covered by insurance at a cost of about $2,500 per month. The father is currently on FMLA due to having to stay at the hospital and the mother will be going on FMLA later this week as her maternity leave expires. I need two things from the yard if possible, first and foremost, we need LOTS AND LOTS of prayers for this little guy as no child or family should ever have to go through something like this and the second thing is donations if anybody feels inclined to do so. There is no amount that would be considered insignificant to this family. I have set up a paypal account so that people can donate online at firstname.lastname@example.org. I really hate to ask for something like this but just have a very heavy heart for this family. Thanks to all who take the time to read this.
For those that would like to mail a check, just shoot me an email at email@example.com and I can provide additional information.

You've got the prayers and I'll donate $50 when I get home this evening. My wife and I just had our first child 14 months ago and were blessed with a healthy child. I am thankful for this everyday and sincerely have the utmost sympathy for this family's situation. Can not fathom having to go through something like this.
Thanks Wattydawg. You have no idea how much this means.
It will be my pleasure to donate to this family GUBULLDOG20. God has blessed me with 4 healthy children and I am grateful. Would you mind if I took your post to the South Carolina 247 board ? There are some things in life that are a whole lot bigger than football.
Feel free to. Thanks, that is very kind of you. Yeah, as much as I love the Dawgs, I really have to take a step back from time to time and say a prayer for the things that truly are important. I have a 2 year old niece and I just love her to death. Just can't imagine how the family feels going through this.
Please know that my prayers have been offered up for this family and their child during this time.
Good people are good people, a very compansionate gesture. It would be great to see the SC fans help out this family in need.
I am praying for this young child and his family right now. Gamecock nation sends their prayers for his recovery and cure along with his parents during this time
From a SC fan, my prayers are with this family. Please send me a PM with the address and I'll get a check in the mail. I can't afford a lot, but I'd like to help as much as I can. God be with this little one and his family.
"I used to walk up a hill to and from school in my days", says every Clemson student ever.
Ditto for me also, This ole dawg wants to help that family too. Shoot me an address at firstname.lastname@example.org
thanks and prayers are out now
I will say a prayer for them and send them what I can on Friday. God bless you and your friends.
I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
Praying for the little fella!!
Do I have permission to take this to other boards??
I will remember this family and their child in prayer. I was feeling sorry for myself this evening as I learned that I will owe close to $3000 for my wife having to have her appendix out and then I see this. Nothing worse than your child being sick and especially the little ones. Please PM me with the mailing address and I will send a check for what I can. God bless this family and God bless you for stepping up for them.
Also, It is very good to see the kindness of the Gamecock fans--some things are actually bigger than a football game.
My prayers will be flowing. Do they attend a church? A church family is always a place to lean on in times like this . I am a deacon in my church (First Baptist Church New Port Richey) and I will have our members pray as well.
My first son was born with a heart defect and spent his first 3 weeks in the hospital so I know how they feel. Many doctors and hospitals will work with the families so tell them not to be shy about asking. My son's surgeon wrote off almost everything that insurance didn't pay and so did Eglestons Children's Hospital.
Yes BH please pass this along to as many people as you would like.
Praying for this young family. Will you shoot me a email @ email@example.com. I'd like to contribute some to this family. Thanks
Shoot me a PM with an address and I will send you a check.
They do attend church and I believe that some of the family members have reached out already. I'll definitely tell them to discuss the financials with the hospital. They are currently at TC Thompson in Chattanooga but might have to transfer to CHOA if things don't get better.
Shoot me a PM and I will send a check! My prayers go out to the family in need. I have a 17 month old daughter and I could not imagine going through that.
