This has probably been discussed but what's your favorite beer?
Type of beer?
Everyday beer? (can afford to drink a good bit If)
Special occasion beer? (when you feel like splurging)?
Everyday: SweetWater 420/Sam Adams Octoberfest (when it's in season of course)
Special Occassion: Terrapin Hopsecutioner/Lagunitas IPA
I have so many favorites. Most of them are from Belgium.
Everyday: Can't do it. too many kids. If it isn't caffeinated, it isn't on my everyday routine. But since my favorite kind of beer is wet, you can imagine that I'm not picky.
Special Occasion: mccaffrey's or guiness. More bitter than my black coffee is mo better.
I'm a big fan of Widmer Brothers. Really like their Citra Blonde Summer Ale
Also anyone from Appalaichia, go to Bryson City and go to the Nantahala Brewing Company. Get what they call Trail Magic. Hikers will get the name reference, great beer that comes in great collectible bottles.

God needs a Safety on His team. RIP 21
Samuel Smith- just about any variety. Chimay red second.
stewarts simply can not be beat. GO DAWGS!
Favorites: Newcastle, Guiness.
Special occasion: Brewmeister's Armageddon. Its the strongest beer on earth at 65% by volume. I also like Stone's brewing company. Arrogant Bastard ale is good.
Like OP, Sweetwater 420 is my preferred beer, but we don't get that in Asia, so I usually will go with Stella Artois or if I can find it an IPA.
Probably get some guff, over this, but if I am drinking for the heck of it and don't want a heavy beer taste, I like Coors Light. It is what I call an "easy-drinking beer".
Coor light is definitely the beer of choice to slam
IPAs are the order of the day out here. For me, it's Sierra torpedo on an everyday basis, but for a special occasion I like Pliny the elder. Swomdawg knows what I'm talkin bout.
Everyday: Whatever looks appealing in the convenience store on a given day
Special Occasion: Bell's Two Hearted Ale
When I'm slamming them back, which is everytime I drink. I prefer Coors Light

I normally drink Coors Light. I also got a taste for German Beer while stationed in Italy, Hefeweisen an such. I tried the Budweiser Black recently and it wasn't bad, as well as 6% alcohol content. Comparable in taste to a Yeung Ling.
bell's is good stuff.
Type: Hefeweizen, Lager, Amber, Blonde, pretty much anything except for pale
Special Occasion: Any kind of microbrew I guess. Back in CA I'd fill a growler with Alcatraz Brewing Company's Searchlight.
I love Newcastle!!! Tastes better in the can though!
Leinkugel is my beer of choice at the moment. I do love a tall glass of Killians on draft when I'm out and can find it. Don't forget about Fat Tire if you haven't tried it.
