One game for the SEC Champ.
Start Eric Zeier or Aaron Murray?
Zeier was a little before my time, so I can't fairly answer this. But just on track record, gotta go with Zeier.
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
Got to go with Murray, junior year and he is going to ball out and show how much he has matured as a QB. Zeier will always be a damn gooddawg though!
The 1992 O Line or the 2011 O Line?
A sober quincy carter!!! ( i shouldn't have said that ) lol but its too funny lol
Great question... I was a huge Zeier fan back in the day.
But I've got to lean with Aaron Murray. What he has done as an underclassman is phenomenal.
I would presume that your question is pertaining to each player at their best. And we haven't witnessed the best from Aaron Murray, yet.
Zeier was great. But he had his issues as well (he was 0'fer against Florida, Tennessee, and Bama if I remember correctly).
Such a loaded question, LOL! I guess I'd take Murray due to his overall athleticism.
Greene... Then Stafford.... Then Shockley... Then Zeier.... Then Murray (for now)
I could see Murray jumping to #2 by the end of his time.
I would go with Zeier as long as he doesn't talk. LOL I really do not like him on the Bulldog radio network. He reminds me of a drunken Ted Turner when he talks. All foolishness aside, I would still probably go with Zeier.
I would have to go with Eric Zeier. He seemed to make better decisions on critical plays. Dont get me wrong, I like Murray but he will have to make better decisions in critical situations and win big games before i will put him in front of Zeier.
Zeier was good at moving the Dogs, putting up points, and losing close. Gotta go with Murray.
Born and bred Bulldog, living in Maryland since '88
Gotta go with EZ. He seemed to value the ball more than Murray. Also if EZ would've had a defense like Murray had last year, I don't think he would've lost a game. He had to out score other teams with very little help on defense.
& barely lost those 2 games to TN, & Fla. beat tOSU in the citrus bowl that year. terry glenn, herbstreit, robert smith & co.
Eric Zeier, without a doubt
With that being said, I like Aaron Murray a lot but Zeier was a GREAT college quarterback.
Zeier also went 5-6 and then 6-4-1 the next two seasons. Just sayin...
Quincy Carter, Mike Bobo, Shockley, Stafford, Zeier, then Murray. The young man has got to show me he has the goods to feel the pressure and then succeed. Something he has yet to do. He doesn't have a signature game and I'm looking for him to take this team and put them on his back and lead us to victory!
way more talent?
There weren't any all americans on our offense last season.
Hearst accounted for 21 TDs in 1992.
Our best tailback last season was a true freshman with 6.
I know what you are trying to say... but I'll respectfully disagree.
"....All I ask is that he be loyal to Georgia, proud of that jersey, and try like the devil to win." --- Wally Butts
Yes. And we were 5-6 and 6-4-1 those 2 other seasons.
Thanks for making my point.
I would even agree to disagree that Murray didn't have a great year of defensive help in 2010 (we gave up 30+ five times. 29 points to Colorado. It was the beginning of a process).
Like I said... I loved Zeier. And I'll love seeing Murray eclipse his numbers, too.
1. Stafford 2. Zeier 3. Greene 4.Murray (with a lot of potential to move up)
