I'd like serious responses, not just down votes please. (Such a childish practice anyway, but that's the subject for another thread).
Is there ANY excuse for the HC and staff of a major college football program to allow their squad to become a mere 2 injuries away from having to rely on walk-ons to START at RB??
TG and KM go down by some freak stroke of bad luck and we may be looking at Kyle Karempelis starting. We would be the laughingstock of the SEC. And don't say it couldn't happen! Ask Maryland about the 1, 2, 3, and 4th string QB's going down this past year and having to convert a player from another position.
My beef is this staff's apparent putting all their hopes on a single recruit, namely Kamara. NOW, we've offered Ford. Too late, IMO. But we COULD HAVE been recruiting many others all along. This staff chose NOT TO.
What say you?
It has been this coaching staff's style to go after the Elite RB's by promising to only bring 1 or 2 RB's at most during each class, that would work great if the RB's could stay in school but I like their style of going after the Elite RB's
Down voted you because this post is just absurd.
We had Malcome and he has left. We are now trying to replace him
We have Turman coming in
We also have Terry and Green who could play back there
Who can foresee injuries to all the top 3 backs?
We all hope it doesn't happen
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
"We just stepped on their face with a hobnailed boot and broke their nose! We just crushed their face!”
"HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS"
Not SEC ready IMO but could be down the line.
I'd have to agree mostly especially since the same thing happened just last year with Isaiah Crowell and having to start Harton for a few games. I have no idea what the philosophy of the staff is but if I were a coach I'd copy what ever model Saban is using. You don't necessarily need a superstar but you need a stable of solid backs to help carry the load and step in if any unfortunate injuries occur.
