Where should I start with this guy?! A legend in the South Florida area(since he was in 8th grade) An absolute complete game changing back. 4.46 speed, can squat over 500 lbs, and bench press over 415. Not to mention he has a 3.8. GPA, is a leader on the field, and just a great young man. He is the ultimate combination of power, speed, and elusiveness. I have read scouts say not only was he the fastest player on the field, but he was the strongest. This is Miami we are talking about guys, his comp is not exactly chopped liver. Without a shadow of a doubt the 2nd best back in the nation(I think he is better than Fournette, but I digress) A five star on every service. Set to announce next Friday, and by all indications it's us. Think Lesean McCoy, he is that good. He is not the type of guy who will waiver either. He stated he knows where he wants to go, and that will be that. April 26th will be a very special day! Go Dawgs!!!!
"If you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong."
Dawgs on Top!
Who do you have ranked ahead of Fournette? Rock Thomas or Elijah Hood?
Dalvin Cook is better
Butt hurt you're not getting Sony. Lulz at you crying. He has more fans at his high school games than he would if he went to Miami U. Lol
Not butthurt and not looking for trouble. Cook is commited to uf, yearby is commited to us and Michel is going to u guys. Have seen all 3 with my own eyes. Forget wat a scout says Cook is the best of the 3. Sony plays against top notch competition in south Florida, but nothing beats 6A Miami Dade County football.
Yearby is a good one. We both come out winners.
I was watching tape on Fournette, I for one see him a good down hill runner but he doesn't have that wiggle that you would want to see in an elite back. I still think Sony stays in Miami but Who knows with kids.
I do agree with Central in the thought that Cook is the best back but you can't lose with either one really Yearby and Sony and Cook, I for one just think Family wins out and he stays in Miami.
What kind of competition does Sony go up against at American Heritage? I see you said top notch. Is it one of the tougher divisions in Florida?
He plays in 5A which is really good. And he plays in Broward county which is really good, but nothing beats Dade county. For example, he ran all over the schools from Broward but when he played against Miami Jackson (a school from Dade) he was eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs! And Jackson ain't all that...
OK, so his team lost, but I would like to know how HE performed in that game.
Born and bred Bulldog, living in Maryland since '88
Unrelated to Sony but I wonder how some of the better Ga high schools in Gwinnett County would do against some of the better Fla schools in Dade county. I think Gwinnett, and Dade county are two of the best football talent counties in the entire nation.
I remember watching "The U" on ESPN, and I believe it was Schnellenberger who made a comment about the Hurricanes putting a fence around the "State of Miami" and cherry-picking the rest of the nation for a few choice recruits.
I kind of feel the same way about Gwinnett County, and basically the Metro Atlanta area. If UGA could put somewhat of a fence around that area like the Hurricanes did in the "State of Miami" in the 80's we would easily contend for SEC, and National Championships on a yearly basis. Easier said than done though I guess.
According to Sonys MaxPreps page he had 15 carries for 94 yards in that game. Pretty good game.
