After Joe T. took over the S & C program, I was optimistic. I even read an article about the players having to take pictures of what they ate and how things were going to change dramatically for the better. I was sold.
I was especially optimistic after Armstrong and John Thomas were hired. From what I've read (and seen) John Thomas is a well-respected S & C guru (See this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIoHlm74Dzc)
Now, I know it sounds like I am about to bash the program, but I am not. In fact, I will readily admit that I have no real knowledge in this area.
That's why I want to get the staff's thoughts (or member's thoughts) on our strength and conditioning program.
1) Is it getting better?
2) How so?
3) Is it (or will it be) able to compete with the best programs in the country?

Once a Dawg always a Dawg...How sweet it is!
I appreciate the warm welcome, Gentry.
I am sure I will have many more questions. I come from the school of "if I don't know what I'm talking about, I will ask someone or not speak at all." It's a very small school, not many teachers; it has a totally different curriculum from the much more popular "My parents and teachers told me I was really special, therefore I must give my opinion on everything" school.

I'm no authority in this but I run and lift so that makes me expert right?
IMO it is better. I said at least 2 years before we would see results. I think we did
The junior class and senior class in 2013 should show great improvement by being in the revamped program for 3 years
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
From what I've read, John Thomas has just as much control as Joe T, according to Joe T. That impressed me that Joe T went out and hired what many seem to think is one of the best in John Thomas. It shows that he cares more about UGA than his own ego, at least that's how I read the situation.
Jeff Fish was just released as Falcons S&C guy, I'm surprised because I had heard he was one of the most innovative guys in the business. Could he be a replacement for an aging Joe T?
Would love to pick up that cutting edge NFL S&C technology. We've got to continually sharpen the saw....
Life's tough, but it is tougher if you're stupid.
