Board question for this Monday:
Which returning Georgia player do you think steps up to produce a big season after not playing much in the past? And why?
May just revisit these responses later in the season ...

Mike Thornton, w ramik a close second. He was just dang impressive in the spring game. Has held off a lot of talented guys who were also impressive in the spring game.
John Taylor is my guess for newcomer of the year, along w Floyd.

We know he's been really good for a while, but a full healthy year on offense will really see Malcolm Mitchell take off.
Ray Drew. Former 5 star recruit that has seen spot duty but really needs to step up and establish himself as a bulwark along our d-line.
Michael Bennett and Chris Conley have a great year with lots of yards. Jordan Jenkins has a very productive year on defense.-Sack leader
Sterling Bailey, b/c he has the mind set to step up on the line.
I really have 4 key D guys and all can have a huge impact in their roles for the team...
Wilson - solidify the other inside LB spot and let the freshman group learn.
JHC - be a defensive playmaker and blitz the QB in certain situations.
Drew - consistently pressure the QB and live up to expectations that have diminished.
Dawson - tough, consistent play opposite Swan as a starter at CB.
Trey Matthews(I know he's a freshman)
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
We need Ray Drew to step up and be the player that we all know he can be.
I expect big things out of Amarlo Herrera this year.
I'm going to go with 2 on defense and 2 on the offensive side of the ball:
Defense - Toby Johnson and Tray Matthews
Offense - Keith Marshall and Chris Conley
I'll say Xavier Ward. He was a project out of hs even before his knee injury but he's had 2 years to heal up and bulk up. I think he's ready to play up to his potential.
"...this is the game plan, we have no alternate plan"-Erskine Russell
Since we're so young on defense, I'd expect a lot of guys to really step up. My top 3:
1) Jonathan Taylor - if you watch those inside drills from Gentry's practice videos , he's simply unbeatable at the point-of-attack. Like someone above said, he'll be a household name by UF.
2) Sheldon Dawson - The guy is going to get picked on often in the 1st two games. He'll shine.
3) Xavier Ward - I remember reading Coach Probst saying he had NFL talent; he just needed to get healthy. I trust Coach on this one. He'll start at RT and give our OL a big boost against some of the more athletic fronts we'll face this year (USCe, UF, LSU).
