The criticism of Mett here is amazing. One would think that the ones who are being critical were actual coaches and have watched his development (or lack there of if we let you guys tell it) since he's been at LSU. I know this, he certainly passes the eye ball test. As far as the Mad Hatter is concerned, I think his mistake was shutting down Jared Lee. The kid had one bad half against Bammer in the first game and he was never heard from again. There were reports from LSU fans that there were some things going on behind the scenes with Lee that suggested that he had kind of checked out mentally after the benching. It was painfully obvious that their passing game went down hill when Jordan Jefferson took over. Talk about a kid who did not develop and never put a strangle hold on the starting QB position. I wondered if that was coaching or if the kid just wasn't good enough. IMO, QB is the one position where LSU has struggled to sign NFL-caliber talent. If they ever right that ship, watch out...
