Probably the most poignant reality is that the overwhelming amount of people just don't care. Pretty sure less than 5% of UGA fans even knew we were playing UF until the day of the game.

We've had a couple of games already where attendance has been in the hundreds. That's just sad. Outside of KCP, Fox has straight whiffed on the recruiting trail with the major talent in the state the past 3 years. There has been exceedingly enough talent in this state to be a legit tournament team. Fox's biggest mistake came with his first decision on the job - his assistant coaches. He opted for 'his connections' guys instead of 'Georgia high school basketball connections' guys. The biggest glaring mistake is letting Korey McCrary slip out to UCLA. There's a reason why UCLA poached two of the top five recruits in the state. We legitimately would have had 5 star Tony Parker, 5 star Shaq Goodwin, and high 4 star Jordan Adams in this recruiting class. Fox tried to play the game of only getting involved at the high school coach level and not the AAU level. He swung and missed on the top 9-10 players in the state.

Of course, we could also discuss Fox's overall offensive system. His hybrid triangle offense has been atrocious this year at actually generating high quality shots. We played an ENTIRE overtime against Iona this year without the ball being passed inside the 3 point line. Eight straight possessions. Eight. straight. possessions. in. overtime. Georgia is in the bottom 10 in the country in scoring. We have a guy who is going to be drafted in the NBA primarily for his offense and yet we're in the bottom 10 in the country. 325 teams out there don't have a player as talent as KCP.... yet their offenses cosistently generate more points. Its sad.

When UGA lost by double digits to Youngstown State at home in the second game of the season. Fox's days were numbered. We weren't even competitive. He should have been fired that night, but that's not how McGarity is going to operate. Still this 33 point loss was an eyebrow raiser to no one who has been following the program. Something has to change.
