I really like Mark's attitude. He's got his head squarely on his shoulders. Sounds like, if you're gonna beat Beard out, you're gonna have to bust your butt, too! Competition will breed competence!

You can't help but like Mark Beard's passion for playing football and his willingness to put in the time to win a starting position on the OL.

Hopefully Mark's line-mates will feed off his desire to get bigger, stronger, and lock up a starting job, and his work ethic will inspire all to practice and play like winners. He should be a good pillar of support for our OL.

He could be a big help in getting his teammates ready to play this year, with his attitude. If you can get Theus and beard ready to go by the fall, that makes two out of the three seniors spots that left covered pretty nicely. If we could also get that big JUCO Somalian as well, I kind of think we would finally have that solid, dependable line we have been missing the last couple of years. Even without the JUCO, I think we have a couple of players that could slot in as well, so UGA should be much improved on the OL this year. That should mean our running game will be much more productive, especially with the RB's we have. It should also help out Murray, by giving him time to find the great group of receivers we will have this year. It really starts at the OL, and I feel good about this group of young men for 2012.
