CSS needs to stop crying. If you are only going to count the games from the division you play in. why even play the other division? I mean its not like they don't rotate teams. USC, you lost to AU. A team UGA blew out. If you wanna be mad about anything be mad about that. When we look at the past of the SEC every team has had down years, and up years. Just a few seasons ago Bama and Ark were not that good and UT and UF were two of the top programs in the nation. So what happens when you change the format and teams like Ole miss start complaining that they have to play AU, LSU, Bama and A&M and Ark every year. Do you then take away all SEC games. Its not like USCe lost to Bama and LSU last year. You lost to AU and Ark. two games you could have won. When it comes down to it. the top 9-10 teams in this Conference can bet each other on any giving sunday. Ask Uf about the ole miss game a couple years back. Or UGA about vandy. Upets happen. In your own words CSS you even admitted that UGA was the better team on the field last year against you.

dumbest argument i've ever heard. can't think of any other situation in which a divisional record precedes overall conference record. he might as argue that any USC win should count for two wins. i can't wait to blow his sorry a** team off the field in october.

The only reason y'all are not agreeing with what spurrier is saying is bc y'all have a weak sec west schedule like last year. Look at it if y'all were in our shoes. (no way your not pissed if you sweep the east and still not rep the east in the sec champ. Game). I can also understand that y'all are pissed bc spurrier owns y'all and will create more hatred for him after we stomp y'all in Columbia in October for the 3rd year in a row!

Spurrier is just playing the game. If you recall, when he was a favorite to win the SEC in 1992 he openly had concerns about the SEC Championship game deciding the conference winner. However, when his team started losing and Florida took a couple of SEC losses into the game against an undefeated Alabama team he was throwing bouquets at Kramer for coming up with the idea. So, honestly, he knows this is a hair-brained idea for the SEC he just knows it is his best shot, in an incredibly weak SEC Eastern Division, of getting back to Atlanta.

I do not care how many self-serving coaches throw their hat into the ring on this idea (and yes think about Miles' situation last year and Franklin's situation at Vandy and you can see through their agendas) this is a non-starter. And classic Spurrier.

Only a moron would agree with what steve spurrier said. You play 8 sec games and those 8 games count toward the winner of the division. If you only want division games to matter then only play division games otherwise don't change the SEC and how our division winners are handled because you can't take care of your business on the field.

Don't disagree, which is why I'd rather it just not start in the first place, especially when I'm on the road today and won't be able to moderate as closely as usual.

I know Georgia couldn't close against Michigan State, but I still don't think you should sell them short. I could easily see the Dawgs riding the conference's 4th best D to another fringe top 15 season. With a top ten South Carolina, a rebound out of Florida, and a decent year from Vandy or UT, that's probably the second best division in college football.
