Ok I don't know that I agree with Head Ball Coach but either way is fine so long as everyone is playing by the same rules and knows them coming in. Fair is fair and UGA won. I will not agree with above poster that they were they better team. South Carolina won a road game in Athens and beat a few other Top 25 teams ( according to final polls). UGA played 4 ranked teams (final polls) and lost all but I will give them a pass on LSU due to them being undefeated. It was close as the head to head game indicated but I believe USC was better and the gap has closed from historical standpoint. UGA certainly has not come down but USC has most certainly come up. Will they sustain that....I would like to think so but we will see. 2012 will be interesting East Race with improved UT, UF, and Vandy as well as Mizzou being a new face.

Here are my responses to some of the issues.

We had the better record against the east, but you guys at the better overall record and you played your schedule. It is what it is. We(SC fans) can complain all we what, but I dont think anything will happen. But, nothing wrong bad can happen for trying to change how the SC champ game can be decided.

As some of you have said, schedules cycles. Teams rotate on and off schedules and some teams have up times and down times. I am not complaining about this season schedule as you cant predict how teams will be when you make the schedule 10 years in advance. We all knew going in that the East would be won this year with 1 loss. We can argue about which team was actually better but that wont do anything. SC fans will say SC was better and UGA fans will say UGA was better and national media will actually probably say SC was better and some might say UGA was better.

But, this coming season, I have a different problem with the schedule. Unlike in years past, this years schedule was determined this past season and many people can predict how teams will be. Yes some things can happen like injuries and players being better than expected(Cam Newton), but UGA got a cake walk this year while SC got the short end of the stick. UGA gets to keep a home game with Ole MIss who will still not be good this year and lose the away Bama game(who will finish in the top 20 this year). While SC loses the home Miss St game(they will be good but its at home) and instead gains a away game at LSU(who will probably win the SEC and be in the top 10 at the worse.) If the roles were reversed, I guarantee you guys would all be up in arms like we are. And if you said you wouldnt, then I am flat out calling you a liar.

Remember...dont start none..it wont be none. I dont play well with others but this is our board and our topics.... Dont yall have another sleazy hotel to hold up at?

Btw I love when yall bring up discipline....Stephen Garcia is a way two thumbs up for yall on that subject.

As far as the scheduling issue goes....who cares. One year yall will get the easier schedule, it goes in cycles now pull your thong from your ass and lets settle this on the field...

I don't know what you guys are up in arms about. If you ask any UGA fan if we got lucky with the scheduling you're not going to find anyone who says "no." You're complaining about a perfect storm of our previous schedule and the conflicts of conference expansion.

As to changing the way we determine the Divisional Champ? Nuts to that! Spurriers suggestion is clearly reactionary and comes off as whiney. The current model is fine, we just need 9 conference games to even out the schedules.

Just count your blessings that it wasn't a poll or computer that kept you out of the big game. The rules were at least laid out for you guys. 2007 still pisses me off...

Sorry about Lattimore's ACL misfortune. With a stud like that, the Cocks would legitamitely deserve a top 10 ranking. As it is, you'll be led by a marginally talented QB and no real top-shelf receiver threats to speak of. Better hope that freak of a DE you have is the next Lawrence Taylor, or the Cocks will get a cold blast of reality this season. When we lose to good teams, I'm ok with that... when we lose to teams we should beat, it's our fault and you just have to take what ya get.

If I remember correctly, roughly 1/3 of Marcus Lattimore's career rushing yards have come in two games against you guys.

They do not have wives, jobs or a life. Its actually kind of humerous seeing them come to our board just to talk trash. They do not know what it feels like to have our number of SEC, ANDDD, SEC EAST championships. It's all good though, We DAWGS understand that the less of sec teams have to come over here and try to down us because we were always above them. actually what we are getting right now are a bunch of gamecock children whining. uga fans aren't whining at all and we have no reason to. we made the sec title game while the gamecocks lost to a crap auburn team. you have yourselves to blame. uga has a very good schedule and the gamecock fans are accepting defeat before a game is even played and you guys are falling all over yourselves crying all offseason about how unfair it is. instead of being a whiner like your coach sos and wanting the rules changes because you guys aren't "man enough" to do your business on the field how about understand this: hello gamecock fans the world isn't fair and if you haven't figured that out you will when you get all grown up.
