I think this is the 2nd critical game left. We won the 1st in Knoxville and UF the next. We beat UF and no matter how we do against AU and GT this will be a good season.

good points Boston. I don't think it is a make or break game, but i do think it is a critical game just for the image of the program. We NEED to beat UF and there is really no better time than this year and the next.

Tx iaddison. Although I don't see this is a critical game in terms of CMR's job security, I do agree with you that it's a critical game image-wise, recruiting-wise and confidence-wise. Hope we can get Mitchell, Crowell, Burnette, M Brown and Ogletree back healthy for this game. If we can get all our players back healthy over the bye week, I think we have a legit shot in this game!

I'm pretty sure this group of kids doesn't give a rat's a$$ about any Florida streak.

They believe they should win every time they step on the field. They played their hearts out last year. This year we have some very positive additions that lead by example. I don't know how many people pay attention to the intangibles that players like Jarvis Jones and CRob have brought to the defense. They are natural born leaders that give it all from snap to whistle. It's infectious and every great defense has a few. They got Branden Smith laying the wood like he is Greg Blue. They are gang tackling. They are trying to strip the ball on every play.

I like these kids, a lot. There's a new breed of Dawg in town.

Agreed, people get too caught up in "must win"games due to the media. Listen to interviews with Greg M. he always talks about improvement week to week and the process of making progress on the season as a whole...Yes, Florida is banged up. Don't think fit a minute that Demps and Brantley won't be healthy by the time we play them. They have a bye as well... Also, what if we lose to UF and still win the east finishing 9-3?

And 6-2 will not win the East this year for you guys. I think we go 6-2 at worse and that means that we would hold the tiebreaker over you.

I think the UF game is a must win due to East implication. When was the last time UGA competed in the SECCG? I believe it is 2005. And are you okay with this? That would be 6 years without going to the game. I believe UGA fans and alumni want more than 1 SECCG experience every 6 years. You can correct me if I am wrong. And I am not trying to be negative but growing up in East Cobb, I knew a lot of UGA fans so I know that they want success and I think that is measured by wins and SECCG appearance.

Well, we are right now since we have never won it. Until last year, we had never made it to the SECCG so it is called baby steps. I think this year, we will be disappointed in not going back since we have most of our stars returning.

I think we go 2-1 in the next 3 so you have to win out in order to win the East.

And yes we got lucky against you guys, but that is football for you. We lost to UK last year and we were much better than them and we also beat Bama at home(were Garcia played the game of his life). We made plays when they mattered the most. But, that was week 2.

I agree with all you said, and to be honest I wouldn't be pissed with just a SECCG apppearance this year either. I can't believe I just said that.
