I hope so. For Shawn Williams calling out everybody else on the defense for playing "soft", I can recall on numerous occasions where he and Bacarri played soft in the Championship game. I really won't be sad to see Shawn leave, he wasn't that great in run support nor coverage. It was time for a new face at Shawn's position. We definitely need some added size and physicality at the safety spots.

i don't like calling people idiots, but i think this overstates it considerably. shawn didn't have his greatest game against bama, i agree. i also agree that the lack of competition at safety and other spots hurt our overall defensive performance this year. but shawn, swann, and garrison smith were the only guys i can think of on the defense who brought 100% of what they had every week of the season.

shawn was, is, and forever will be a DGD.

I can tell you one thing he gave alot more than the rest did!!!!!

Fluker and Mississippi State signee Justin Cox were a hellacious safety tandem at East Mississippi CC this season. Was very impressed with their ultra talented team when I saw them against Northwest Mississippi CC.

On Fluker, Texas was one that was still trying. They loved him.
