  • Do you prefer to go to games or sit at home and watch from your living room?

Being there. The blackout and last years Auburn game were the best atmospheres I've ever been a part of. I record the game and watch it during the week though.

I like to go to a game or 2 each year just for the experience...went to Boise in the dome, and chose Auburn as the home game so that was lucky. But I prefer to slow cook something all day in the backyard, and pace nervously while watching in HD.

Your = you are. Stupid. You're is possessive hence the apostrophe. Duh. Ro' Tide!

  • I have yet to go to a real college or NFL game. One UCLA game years ago doesn't count because I have been to high school games that had larger crowds.

  • Going to the game. We usually stay the whole weekend. I can't stand not being there. If I don't go it usually puts me in a bad mood all week.

  • I've gotta be honest, I love everything about game day. Taligating, mingling with other Dawgs, a cold cocktail on a cool day with the scent of barbecue in the air....

That said, I've almost reached the point where, if I'm being honest with myself, I'd rather watch the game at the tailgate party on a big screen TV than actually go in to the game.

Now, if it's a night game, on the other hand, I love being in Sanford Stadium at night. Outstanding atmosphere.

  • I love going to the games because of the intensity and the atmosphere and just how everybody goes crazy and its just so fun. But on the other hand i like being able to see every detail of the game. All the stats, replays and everything else. Its a cant lose for me. Just as long as i can watch my dawgs.
When Munson was on the radio i would watch it on tv and listen to him on the radio.

There is nothing like the Saturday morning smell of fresh air. Wake up and step outside your motorhome and you know its game day. Dang you RUSTY you got me going today on this question. I am already thinking about it. 71 Days!!!

I agree with everything you just said.

There is nothing like the feeling you get setting up your tent at 7 am. Talking about what might happen in the game. Going to the 5 points waffle house and ordering the same thing that you have have since the Coastal Carolina game. Because you dont mess with a winning streak. Running back to shower and etc.

Getting to your tailgate, you carrying the cooler, your date carrying the chicken, deviled eggs or what have you. Girls in gameday attire. You in you in home red polo (I wear white on away games). As the game draws closer the anticipation builds. Getting to your seat in plenty of time to hear the Hymn and "It's Saturday". Losing your voice in the 4th quarter because you know being quiet just isnt an option. This is Saturday in Athens. There is no place in the world you would rather be than in this seat with your closest friends and some complete strangers all clad in the red n black.

Getting back to the tailgate to celebrate a victory or morn a loss as you wait for the cars to clear out or your cooler to empty. Knowing there are only a few more times you get to do it again this year.

71 days gentlemen. It cant get here fast enough.

  • I usually like to go to the games, then come home and immediately watch the game from the DVR. The replays and camera angles always show something I missed during the game. But, I hate listening to the commentators. Gruden did a good job for the Michigan State game, but the rest suck.

  • After I reached the age of 70, and no one would sit down in front of me, I decided the game day experience was for the younger age, lol. I still go to some road games near memphis, ole miss, miss st, vandy etc, but it sure is good to sit in my easy chair with a remote , BLT, and shoes off, instead of sitting on a board with someone jumping up on every play, So I believe instead of watching the game on the end zone screen , I stay at home mostly and watch it from the living room, saves money and time. lol

Thanks a lot for ensuring I won't get any work done today. Lol. Let the daydreaming commence.

  • I like to go. Just started last year. But I think I like it better at home. Coulda just been the teams I seen. (Coastal Carolina & New Mexico St)

  • I do love going to the games however watching it from home has become common place. I used to go to every home game for years! Now I go to no more than 2 games a year. I give my tickets to my sons and watch them at home most of the time. There is not a better place for me than Athens on game day!
Tailgating and then with thousands of rabid fans.......................Its the best!

  • The older you get, the more inconveniences crop up when going to a game. A great friend is now too old to stand, I don't see how he makes it to the games. He's with you bh. I enjoy watching the game from our tailgate site. One delightful feature is we hear the stadium roar (or a smaller roar from the visitors) and wait with great anticipation to see what happened due to the satellite delay. Night games we always are at home because we can't hang like we could a decade or two ago. In cold weather we either enjoy a fire inside or one in our fire pit with the TV turned toward the deck and outdoor speakers. With the miserable home schedule this year, I am going into my bucket list game. Crossed off attending a game at Notre Dame, FSU, and Michigan a few years ago. I have been to all SEC schools except Mizzo and AnM so I'm going to MU this fall. Also want to see the Red River Shootout, a game at Army, Nebraska, and a few more.
