ATHENS, Ga. -- Hello from Stegeman Coliseum. Mississippi State is in town as Georgia's basketball team begins its home SEC schedule today.

This is one of the few times all season you're hear me say this ...
But Georgia really should win this game today.
Mississippi State's roster was gutted after last season, and with a new coach, that team is very much in the early stages of a major rebuild. And that's why UGA is a 10-point favorite today.
This is the kind of game UGA simply has to have ... at home ... against basically an inferior opponent.
You start losing these and the slope gets a lot more slippery both for coach and program, in my opinion.
