I have no idea who said it, you can read the thread on TBS, it's entitled "Uh Oh Crowell".
As you will see, there are a lot of USC fans drinking that kool aid, i'm not one of them. I don't think it's true but wanted to get the "scoop" from the insiders/staff/owners of this site.

Truth is, there have been some positive reports and some negative reports on Crowell. Some from better sources than others. It's a mixed bag right now. That said, they are surrounding him - and others - with a support group to help the transition.
He hasn't had one fall practice yet where we can observe him and judge for ourselves. Until we do that, I think it would be unfair to say if he has a "problem" or not.

I was looking to go back to the my board with info that it's not true but haven't received that info from Gentry or Rusty but I'm assuming based off your post/pm and his short response that this is just an inaccurate rumor.

Gentry and the members here are a bit frustrated because a couple folks in the market like to throw stuff against the wall, see what sticks, stir the pot, cut and paste info so they can "report" from events they aren't at, etc. Then when they get 5% of something right they break their arms patting themselves on the back and say, "I told you so."
They are notorious for anonymous comments from anonymous sources that don't "report" anything, but just get the masses riled up over nothing. It's been going on more recently as this site has taken off, so it's been an issue as of late.
Crowell clearly has an opportunity now, and we'll all be able to gauge how hard he's worked when he plays against Boise and South Carolina in his first two college games.

listen, i never questioned his work ethic. i didn't really buy into the "insider" info which is why I chose not to post in the thread on my homeboard and ask the staff here their opinion. the bottome line is, the winner of the UGA/USC game has the inside track to win the east, with your team losing 2 running backs this offseason that were expected to contribute and Crowell being the #1 running back in the nation out of high school, i would like to know if he is having difficulties with work ethic, if not-great, i'll tell the members on my homeboard the report is false, if it is true, it validates that thread.

I am glad to discuss any topic, but if you check out the thread on this board started by soldiercock you will see I will talk football and players with anyone, but if you read thru you will see many of USCe fans can' t keep it and civil and friendly as some UGA fans. For all I or we know you could easily taken anything said and interpreted how you wanted. This leads to my first post referencing Clowney this was a report shortly or around signing day.
