What a GREAT addition Hines Ward would be to the University of Georgia football program, both in coaching and recruiting. If he decides that's what he wants to do, I hope it works out for him to be able to get on staff. IMO, there's nothing but an upside to this!

What's your gut feeling on this, could Richt find a coach position for Hines Ward and do you think he would accept?

UGA should do WHATEVER it takes to get him on the coaching staff. If it's for next season, fine. In my opinion this would be absolutely huge for the Dawgs! Our receivers would benefit greatly from a guy with so much knowledge and experience in the league. Not to mention how much publicity the university would receive, and his benefit to recruiting would be tremendous!

It'll happen, he can't say "yes I want the job" because that implies that some other coach "could" get pushed out as a result. He's a class dude, he's not going to put that aroma in the air. Instead he'll pursue other opportunities while considering getting into coaching. You can bet he told Richt: "when you get a spot open, give me a call".

We need to hire him after this season. Sorry Coach Ball, but Hines would give us an edge we can't turn away.

Problem is, we are at capacity for coaches. We have to lose one.

Even if this could happen, it never would. Too many problems would be caused.

Have patience. If Hines is meant to coach at UGA, he will, but it's not going to be right now. I fully expect him to give broadcasting a shot for a little while.
