How good is Ty Smith?

What kind of TE is he? I like Lynch and Rome but their is a chance Smith may need to play some this year.

He will get no playing time this year. Hope we sign Hunter. He will be our next great TE. Rome is the fvcking truth, and Artie is a hell of a blocker.

So if Lynch or Rome gets hurt you think that their is no chance Smith plays? He will play most likely on special teams and I would be surprised if he didn't get some snaps in mop up duty. We will be fine with Lynch and Rome because we usually only use 2 TEs but I still think its possible Smith plays.

I think this should answer your question.
Tight end Ty Smith of Colquitt County is one signee that could be pegged for early playing time, Richt said Tuesday.
“Ty is at a position where we only have two on scholarship right now,” Richt said, “so the chance of him getting in the lineup somewhere along the way is probably good. He’s a guy that just by virtue of a lack of depth at position we’ll have to work really hard to get him ready.”
