Just saw a Todd Grantham quote that said the only incoming freshman defensive player that is likely to redshirt is Taylor. Because we have Jenkins, and Geathers at NT ahead of him.
I personally thought Taylor was one of the least likely to redshirt. Jenkins, and Geathers could enter the 2013 NFL Draft after the season. Taylor could need the experience at NT even if Geathers stays. I also figured that Taylor could play some DE this season too.
If Taylor is as good as we think he is will he be at UGA for five years?
I will defer this decision to Grantham though. He knows what's best. Still I won't be suprised if Taylor doesn't redshirt.

Some clarification ...
Per Seth, Grantham said Taylor is the freshman most likely to redshirt. Doesn't mean he will, and I'm pretty sure it was a nod to the depth up front rather than anything Taylor isn't doing well. Easy to read too much into these kind of comments sometimes this early in camp.
Here is the actual quote from Grantham, again, per Seth ...
"Even Johnathan Taylor is a big guy that we’re gonna work and develop. But it doesn’t make much sense to play him with Kwawme and Big John right now. So that’s a case where we’re gonna work and develop him. But we’re gonna get him ready for down the road.”
Asked then if Taylor was the most likely to redshirt, Grantham said he was.
So there you go ...
