FWIW the reason I created the thread was that we don't sound like the trolls that live in our mom's basement that some of us really are playing D and D with a magic 8 ball and tin foil on our heads...to act like the kid who got picked over in dodgeball and then act like you didn't want to play anyways makes us sound silly...think about it...if your kid was a stud QB and didn't have a tie to UGA who is full anyways...why would you not wanna go to Clemson..Dabos has shown he will open up the play book and get some really good skill guys in there...AY is a great zone blocker...makes more sense in a spread offense..maybe he just realized that....

first off if you did not notice there was a gigantic and VERIFIED scandal with regard to Cam Newton, Cecil Newton and the schools that ended up showing interest in the kid coming out of JUCO. I don't care what the NCAA finds or doesn't find, the kid was auctioned off by his Dad for money. Do you honestly believe that he was offered $200k at Mississippi State and then turned it down in favor of ZERO money to go to Auburn? There is serious dirt all over that program, and last year was just a gigantic public spectacle that chronicled the corruption of Auburn and the NCAA.

On to Clemson...Did I see them hand the bag to someone? No. I didn't see Josh Clemons and Gramps arguing last night over the LOI, but I know that it happened. Clemson is not exactly a school that has a history of conference titles, BCS bowl bids, or even 10 win seasons, this particular recent season notwithstanding. You tell me how a mediocre at best program pulls 5 star players regularly out of Florida like Spiller and Watkins. I am of the belief that IPTAY is largely corrupt and that they are some of the worst offenders of huge cash and car deals for kids. I have a friend at church whose son is a junior there, and he says it is all over the campus with athletes.

Does that mean we're perfect? no. I'm sure we're not. But we're not brazen about it either. I happen to believe that the worst you're gonna see out of the CMR era will be something like the AJ Green bogus jersey thing, recruit contact violations, inadvertent cell calls etc.
