Yeah as a kid. As an adult I can't watch it, it's so cheesy. Although it reminds me of that 2008 Bama gamae, a significant portion of us in the student section were doing the angel wings thing at the start of the 2nd half, lol.

But its NOT a sports movie.
ESPN has poker because ESPN doesn't stand for sports in spanish but rather the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. Its also why ESPN carries the National Spelling Bee.

The omission of Remember The titans will require the author of this nonsense to be punished.

THANK you. Poker is not a sport. And frankly there is nothing I detest more than poker on TV. I can't think of anything more boring than watching other people play poker with money that isn't even theirs.

Womens basketball. Unless you are watching a family member play, nothing worse. Would rather listen to a poker tournament on the radio than watch womens basketball. Poker definitely not a sport.

Sorry hobnail, I thought it had a touching storyline. High school ball in Georgia and Christianity was prominent in the movie. Loved it when the kid realized he had crawled all that way. One if my favorite movies, no real stars in it except Coach. Just a simple homer hear. Go Dawgs!!
