ATHENS, Ga. -- Quarterback Aaron Murray confirms that he's headed back to UGA for his senior season rather than entering the NFL Draft.

Oh man! This is awesome. I had been hearing all kinds of talk about how weak the draft was going to be for QBs this year and thought Murray would be gone for sure. I do hope he is making the right decision. I am selfishly ecstatic! This has postiive implications on the overall QB situation, too. I bet Mason plays a lot more this year and this is going to give LeMay and Ramsey opportunities to be mentored in this last year. I think the offense next year will be everything the D was supposed to be this year! It wasn't too shabby this past year...

Murray is well on his way to being a member of the small club of all-time favorite bulldogs - Hershel, Jake Scott, Champ, Hines, Stinchcomb and quite a few others, though a small number when considering all that have played for UGA over the years.

It's almost a certainty that he breaks every SEC Qb record you could possibly have, and might even dip into some NCAA records. Very glad he's coming back. Next year's offense truly does have the chance to be lethal. Aaron, experienced O-line (hopefully plus a very talented freshman). Todd and Keith back for sure, not sure about Ken, he could transfer. Bennet back, Wooten, JSW, Conley, Malcolm, plus Rumph and a lot of freshman receivers that will be competing for snaps. And both the tight ends back. Yeah, I think Mike Bobo can work with that.

Couple of thoughts about his return:
- Will probably go down stat wise as the best QB ever in the SEC and as a Senior will most likely be 2nd in the All-SEC to Johnny Football. How crazy! And Lord help any writer who chooses McCaron over Murray as the top returner in the SEC.
- The will never be a better mentor for Ramsey then Aaron. I am so glad Brice gets a season to sit under both Aaron and Mason.

Very big deal for UGA. Gives us the opportunity to redshirt the next great QB, Ramsey, who will also take note of Murray's hard work ethic.
