New Members: Questions? Concerns?

  • One other thing reference the site format; it would be nice if the headline stories were listed in chronological order on the front page. I've seen the Turene article jump ahead at least 4 times and new articles not listed. Just causes some confusion and may cost articles to be missed.

    I hear you on this.

    We generate a lot of content on the site, and we'll often try to feature certain stories by putting them in the four-story rotation or the three featured spots. Yes, unfortunately, that does often show up in the 'News' section too as a timeline out of chronological order.

    At the very least, you can usually count on new material to be on the front page in some form for no fewer than 2 days.

    I see the link, video and photo buttons below the message box, but I am referring to things such as bold, italics, quote and hyperlinking.

    I tried to use both HTML and BB code but it redirected me to 247 which told me those were not allowed. I tried to click on the FAQ button at the bottom of the page but it doesn't link.

    So I'll just come out and ask.......what code does this forum use?

    Just got home and saw this ...

    You can bold with a 'b' surrounded by [ ] and [/] ... Same with italics and 'i'

    Links work to just post them directly on here, but this is what I use in stories --[ link url="http://website.com/url"]Link to Web Page[/link] (take the space out before the first "link" because I had to add that to get it to show up)

    Not Rusty, but we don't have a ticket exchange board just yet. There, however, are threads on the board with tickets available pretty regularly.

    Honestly, I don't really have any say in the matter, but I think those designing the network did that to keep sigs from growing too large and changing the horizontal dimensions of threads.

  • Having difficulty seeing any info today. Became member yesterday, after reading the site for several months, and I could see it all. Last night and this AM I can see none of the VIP stuff.

An issue that I've seen pop up for those who have registered with us prior to joining is that duplicate accounts are sometimes created. But it's usually a quick fix, and I'll forward your message along myself right now.
