I hate when we have players leave a program how posters can't wait to jump up and bash them on their way out the door. Whether this is true or not about the 'cancer' stuff in locker room, these young men all chose to be Dawgs and gave a lot of time, energy and effort to our team. Wish them well and move on

Not saying this isn't the case but I think I read where we wanted Williams to stay. I think in Williams case it was more the constant moving of positions that upset him. I wonder if Ogletree would be at ILB if he had stayed.

The problem with Williams (besides his attitude) is that he felt like he was an all-world Safety but he never put in the necessary time to learn how to be an asset in coverage instead of a liability...that is why we had to move him to LB. He tried to depend on his natural athleticism and when it comes to covering Wide Receivers/Tight Ends in the SEC you better have your footwork down and Williams could never fully grasp that. Our coaches explained this to him time and again but it just never fully clicked with him. I am glad that he is getting a chance to further his career somewhere else though.

Outside of Flacco who I mentioned earlier, how many guys have actually panned out transferring to a lower level in college football.

This was the point I was trying to make earlier. It takes more than your athletic ability to be good at this level especially in a conference like the SEC.
