Great write up G, interesting how he didn't really answer the question about Zander. Wonder what happened with him.

Every time I read a report I get more fired up for the start of the season. I cannot wait to see our defense dominate. And I got a good feeling about JHC. That young man is going to be a beast once he comes to grip with the defense. Just got a feeling.
September 1 cannot get here fast enough.

About Justin Scott-Wesley... Maybe he isn't as polished as some of the other guys... maybe he isnt that great of a route runner yet or have great hands(however I'm sure he can catch the ball). BUT I know for a fact he has the speed to burn a CB deep, even if he isnt quite as consistent as some other guys, GET HIM IN THE GAME and send him DEEP. I'm sure he can catch the football if given that chance.. this coaching staff wants him to show he can do everything before he gets on the field at all... use his speed to our benefit and just send him deep two or three times a game. Dont count on him to catch 10 balls a game or to run crisp perfect routes.. send him deep! Use these guys to their strengths!

I think they will find ways to get him in the games...I just think he may need some game experience & clutch catches to help solidify himself in the lineup

Send him deep just, if nothing else, to send a message about his speed. Then defenses will have to respect it and give him a cusiion, where he can can the underneath routes. He showed this spring (including G-Day) that he can make the tough catch over the middle in traffic.
As to the running backs, I love the depth. What a change from last year, when we had a true freshman learning pass protection who got hurt in mid-season. Now we have two big backs with experience who can pass protect and two new backs who can come off the benh and break big runs. By mid-season Marshall and Gurley should be more skilled in pass protection to where they can play in more situations. Thenwe'll have the true balance in the O which we lacked when IC was out last year.
