I was listening to 680 a while back and they had people calling in to say which out of state team they were a fan of and why? I would like to know if you were born and raised in the state of Georgia. But cheer for a pro team in another state. Please name the team and why you cheer for them. Me, i stick with the home teams. ....... Dawgs, Falcons, Hawks, Braves, and my beloved Clarke Central Gladitors..... This also goes for guys or gals that were born else where but cheer for a local team.

I was raised in Georgia but I went to college in Massachusetts and lived their for 6 years. My college didn't have a football team, but my parents, grandfather, uncle, and my wife are all UGA alumni. I'm a Dawgs and Braves fan first and foremost, but I prefer the Celtics and Pats to the Hawks and Falcons. I grew up a hawks fan, and I even had season tickets one year, but I don't feel a lot of loyalty towards the team because I think they've been a crappy organization for a while and their style of play the last few seasons isn't something I enjoy watching. I didn't grow up watching the NFL much when I was young and didn't get into to the NFL until I was in Boston. I root for the Falcons over everybody but the Pats. I don't feel like this makes me a fair-weather fan as my fandom came from actually living in Boston for awhile, but I suppose nobody considers themselves to be a fair-weather fan.

College: UGA; I'm a current UGA student and both my parents are UGA grads. MLB: Braves; both my parents grew up in Roswell, Ga so I was raised a Brave fan. NFL: Redskins; hometown team. Neither parents realt cares about the NFL too much so I picked the hometown team when I was young. Whole family have become Skin fans since. NHL: Capitals; same reasons as Redskins. Hometown team NBA: Wizards; Hometown team.
