ORLANDO, Fla. -- LB Alec Ogletree confirms after the Capital One Bowl that he's declaring for the NFL Draft. So that's one down for UGA. What about other juniors the jump?

  • Well goodness sake you can't blame him. It's a business decision when you're considered a 1st rounder. I just wish he hadn't tokey tokey'd and we could have seen a full game schedule of stats from him, he could have some records too

Thank You Dawgs on a Great Season

  • In todays economy , there are probably more families than ever who could benefit from a child making first round money. It is probably a difficult time for Zander. He probably has played his entire life with Alec.
I was hoping that Geathers would be better than 50% when he went home. We have seen in the past, that a College education takes three years in their family. Success can usually be measured in dollars, and not achievements.

  • No lie...I teared up with tree's final comment. He went through a lot at Georgia, as most of us do in college. It's great to see that he understands not only what he did for UGA but what the school has done for him both on and off the field. Mark Richt has his faults, but he is a molder of men and that's a great trait to have. Proud to be a Dawg today!

  • How can Geathers be 50/50 right now? His draft grade can't be very high at all. All he's got going for him is his size and upside. I'm not sure if he's not very strong (just because he's big, does not mean he's strong) or what but he's not much of a run stopper. He's actually been better at pressuring the quarterback. Seems like he could only do himself a favor by staying and solidifying that nose guard spot. He definitely looks better than he did as a freshman, but he still might have some bad weight that he could shed and replace with muscle in the offseason. Getting quicker and stronger can only help us and his draft stock. As far as the position they're in, I would think Geathers and Murray should stay and 'Tree and Jarvis should leave. They've proven (Jarvis and Alec) they are arguably the best players at their positions in the country. Geathers and Murray aren't even close to Jarvis and Alec as far as skill at their positions, but they're are going to be a lot of opportune games next year to prove their worth.

you never know who is considering it. we have one who really has no business even thinking about it,considering going. i think talking with his family has brought him back to reality though. when he told his father he replied when did you get a concussion? cause you are normally alot smarter than this. GO DAWGS!
