I'm stuck in Korea for my ninth deployment....oh...good news..lol
Well, we have a 3rd year QB for next year. The nations # 1 RB coming in (hopefully one or two more other RB's as well), Some WR's that are starting to come into their own (quite a few will be soph's next year), I'm pretty excited about what Jay Rome will bring to the table. The D line will be stacked for next year. It was good to get Smith some playing time on the line this year when Tyson went down. Geathers will hopefully get bigger and stronger. LB's should be a better group next year. Look at how many of our frosh LB's that got extensive playing time this year. An offseason and a spring should make them bigger, stronger, faster and meaner. Losing Boykins is a shame, but we have some very talented young men coming in to take his place. Even if Rambo and/or Williams leaves, we have Moore and Marshall there as well who got some looks this year. Kicking game will be much improved next year (IMHO). From what I've read about Marshal, no reason to think otherwise.
As of right now, the area of concern for me is the OL. I don't care what team it is, losing three members of your starting OL is no bueno. But Friend has done a great year with what he had to work with. So I have no doubt that he will do the same next year with those on the roster and the new comers (such as 5 star Theus)
I hope this brought at least a little joy to some of you. Even a half crooked smile will work.
