  • I think they lose Bama, LSU and FSU. They will lose 1 or 2 of SC, UGA, Tennessee and Auburn. The 3-4 will take some time for them like it did us and they are also swapping to a pro style offense. I will predict 8-5

  • Going to be tough to reach 8 wins with that schedule in year one IMO

I agree with Gentry. I am still not sold on the fact that Brantley is all their mentally after the season he had last year.

  • I will say 7-5. With the gators losing to Bama, LSU, UGA, SC and FSU. With the talent they have on defense I think that will keep them in games but to me their offense doesn't really have any weapons. They don't have the running backs to play the pro style offense and an average quarterback.

  • Both UGA and UF realistically could be 7-5 or 11-1.

I agree. They have talent, it's just a matter of adjusting to a new scheme.

They could field a team of walk ons and I still will arrive in Jacksonville thinking we are going to lose. We need to string together a couple in a row in Jacksonville and get this monkey off our backs.

  • I think UF loses to Bama, LSU, AUB, UGA and FSU. 7-5..I think it would be almost a miracle for them to reach 10 wins this year. How many 1st year head coaches achieve that?

I agree with Sloppy the most, I think they lose to Bama, LSU, FSU, and us. I think they have the offense going pretty well by the time they get USCe (I expect their defense to be pretty good) and I think they pull that one off. Probably win vs. a middle of the road Big10 team in the bowl game for a total of 9-5

  • 8-4 with them beating USC and losing to us is the best case scenario for UGA. UF shouldn't challenge for the East crown, but the hope is that they play spoiler for USC if they beat us the second week in September.

They shouldn't win more than 8 games though. They have a BRUTAL schedule.

I think this is just about spot on. I can't find 9 wins on their schedule. I honestly think Brantley is going to be much better under Weis and their new system but as an offense it is going to take them some time to get going. They have talent in the secondary but also have a lot of guys who are prone to injury. I would expect about an 8-4 type year for them. I would love for them to beat USCe and that is exactly they type of game the chickens have lost in the past. Start off strong, then get lose a game at home you were supposed to win and then fall flat on your faces for the rest of the season.

  • Won't be surprised if Brantley is benched and Frazier is playing come November. 7 or 8 wins, imo.

  • All 9 SEC games in a row with one BYE before UGA when we have a BYE. Tough schedule tough to predict. With all those in a row they could lose on any given week. I definitely think that, as we were last year, they will be ssslllllooooowwww the first part of the season and be better towards the latter. THey might even lose one of those first four, and after that it gets real ugly.

I say they have 4-6 losses this season

  • Gators w/ 8 wins 5 in conference (2nd-t) http://wp.me/P1pDOq-bP
    Dawgs w/ 9 wins 6 in conference (1st SEC E) http://wp.me/P1pDOq-og

Looked at all the metrics for UGA over the last 4+ years for Richt and the staff. Clear patterns, especially on the road. If they can hold serve at home (where is is more likely they will lose based on the 4 year profile) they should be playing Alabama in the Georgia Dome. They have the easiest SEC SOS and Bama second easiest.
