Not sure what you mean about accusations??? He admitted it thus doing a plea deal to rat out his friends. I believe that is what is in my memory, of course I do have chemo brain so please forgive me bc I can't remember anything anymore.

Post incident, he has been a changed man and that is good.

I think he is a POS honestly. A murder that got a slap on the wrist because he was rich and famous, but that is just me. I'm glad he has changed, but that is a pretty sore subject for me when someone takes someone else's life and is ever viewed as an "American hero"

I agree. It honestly seems that he has been a changed man bc of this situation. I dislike how much pub he gets as a hero and idol. I will say he has been a helluva model of the way to play football. One thing I love about life is the second chances people do get. The forgiveness and the redemption that people are able to get. But this is murder. We're talkin the death of two men. He has gone from life in prison to American icon. I'm for ray if he truly has turned it around and I forgive him as a brother of The Lord but we can't ride him off into the sunset for this career.

Second chances are great.

But I feel they are better when the original justice had actually been met.

i wasn't there, but I've spoken to a few attorneys who shook their head at Atlanta for the way they handled the case.

It appears to me that Ray's second chance was on the heals of a fumble by the Atlanta DA.
Not on the back of a penitent man.

There's a difference in my opinion.

Good friends with several of the cops first on scene and some who worked case. Ray not near as pure as the Lawyer would love to paint him. His initial efforts to "stonewall" were also based upon being covered with blood in the limo as he played "peacemaker." If I got away with the stuff he did, I would do a 180 as well, at least in public. He has a great deal to be thankful for, not related to sports in anyway. No doubt, great football player, human being, not so much.

Because the guy didn't want to rat his friends out doesn't make him a POS.....how many of you have friends that have done something less than honorable but you've kept your mouth shut? How many of you have done something less than honorable and you and your buddies decided to keep it quiet? The guy has played the game like it has supposed to be played, if I had a son and wanted him to model his game after a mlb, it would be Ray. The guy paid his debt to society according to the laws of this great nation and has had one helluva life. Remember....his roommate and his girlfriend I believe were murdered when he was a student in Miami...so he has pulled it together quite nicely.

I don't drink, I've never been arrested, don't do drugs...so on and so forth...so I kinda like my code of conduct. The point is no one on the board was there and we can only speculate to what might have happened. I noticed one one mentioned the countless charities and community service this guy donates his time and monies to. Your opinion is yours and mines is mines....but I think at this point in his life, he's a helluva man and player. One blurp on his resume doesn't define the character of the man.

I don't like him, he killed a guy and his on the field antics drive me nuts. When I hear him speak like a reverend annoys the piss out of me, all that said, ray can play.

I spent some time investigating the evidence against Lewis before commenting and I am no more sure what to think about him than before. However, I cannot convict a man in my heart without knowing. I feel like he was definitely involved, and it seems like more of a cover up than a knife in the hand...but I don't know that. None of what I have to say is releasing him from what he did, if guilty.

I have a son who plays linebacker that loves Ray Lewis. He has asked me three times "did you know ray Lewis is a Christian?", then goes on to tell me a story of the police investigating a call-in about a drug deal at his house, only to find him holding a Bible study for the homeless in his community.

I don't know if those things are true any more than I know if he committed murder, only he and God knows his heart. I do know I have not and will not tell my son about the murders. I will let him believe in the man that Ray Lewis seems to be today. And I hope that all those who have known me and seen my imperfections, will choose to let my son believe in the man I am today!
