Sorry, didn't see this post before I made mine. But this guy is OUT OF HIS MIND if he thinks USCjr doesn't recruit the same kids we do, UGA just lands em. And then we turn around and %&*^ em with our strict policies and transparent approach, but USCjr and UGA recruit the same kids no doubt.

Its just a discussion point that I wanted to make. I was complaining big time on Signing Day too. Having 75 is ridiculous but 69 is insane. And lets keep in mind its not even hamstring season yet. Its not just a big deal for the starters it just eliminates any room for error. It hurts in practice. It hurts on special teams etc.
I love how when somebody makes a factual point that may be negative and they get hammered for whinning. So can you only pump sunshine here? Is it not a big deal we have less ships than SoCal who just got hammered by probation? Its a self imposed probation for a team that goes out of its way to follow the rules.

I just picked SoCar because they are a team that decided a few years ago to do what it takes to win. The same is true for Bama, LSU, and Auburn. That includes oversigning and living in the gray but its working for them pretty well. I hate it that teams like that can oversign and run off kids. SoCar will flat out have to run 2 kids off at some point the next 2 months but they will be fully stacked. I hate it that our biggest rivals constatnly live in the gray if not worse. It wasnt like this in the early part of RIchts tenure and he was one of if not the top coach in the SEC. But the rules changed when guys like Saban came along and started selling out to win. Sure they probably cheat and we dont want any part of that even though it puts us behind but one thing we can control is signing enough players.

This was a complaint of mine after the 2010 class which has been decimated. Last year it was hard to control because recruits heard for 2 years how Richt would be fired. Its a miracle we got as good a class as we did. Its a year like 2010 where there was no excuse not to load up. We have to start pushing the limit or we will get left behind. SoCar, LSU, and Bama getting a full signing class more than us every 4 years is a big problem. The new rules will slow some of that but we have t do our part.

It sounds like Richt is figuring that out this year but you should never have to sign as many as he will this year. Just get 28 or so a year and keep the damn roster full. Especially, when you know how strict of a program we have and how we constantly have kids getting in trouble.

We had a 23 year old starter who got cited for public drunkenness and disturbing the peace. You know how many 23 year old college students get drunk and disturb the peace, and somehow our defensive lineman gets arrested for it. Seems like maybe the Columbia police might be paying attention to the SC players. Or are you claiming that somehow we get the cops to look the other way on the more serious crimes, and they're making up for it by charging our guys for spitting on the sidewalk?

Stephen Garcia was a f-up, but he was never arrested for anything more serious than vandalism or underaged drinking. Didn't y'all have a guy get arrested for domestic violence? I'll bet he suits up against the Gamecocks though.

Man, when Crowell signed with y'all, I heard people heaping all kinds of praise on him, saying he would do for UGA what Lattimore did for SC. After that moral victory early last year, people were even calling him the next Herschel Walker. Who knew he'd actually be the next Demetrius Summers? Yeah, we recruited him too, as did everyone else in the country. But, nobody else recruited him as hard as UGA did.

Lets keep in mind that clay Matthews walked on at USC. Sometimes your walk ons out work and out practice your scholarship players sometimes.
