I think for UGA in the past we have lacked some player leadership. Murray was a big part of that change as was Christian Robinson. Murray has been the starter for 2 years, I don't think you circumvent his leadership on the team by saying he is not the starter. I also don't think that if someone were really playing better than Murray overall that they would not get a chance as well. But it is easy to play in practice and go all out. That is not the same on game day between the hedges.

Also - fans down on Murray need to remember his R Freshman year, he had a stellar year and we went 6 - 5 - imagine what would have happened had he not played as well as he did. With Joe Cox, we might have been 3 - 8. Last year, he had some unfortunate turn overs. But it is not like we had stellar OL and RB play last year. He has earned his strips (see the Auburn game) and deserves to be the starter until someone can prove they can take the spot.

I don't think in practice anyone has done that to this point. I also don't think anyone will. The one with the best chance - has not gotten to campus yet - Brice Ramsey. The grass is always greener as they say....
