I'll be honest, I didn't follow his recruitment and haven't heard too much about him, but he hasn't/doesn't sound like a bad apple to me.

The position he has competed for at UGA is about to SWELL up with talent after this class. A lot of top guys in the country are going to be fighting for 2 spots on the inside and Burrows, playing out of position, probably won't beat them out.

Burrows is nothing close to being a bad apple or a guy who is afraid of competition. He tore his ACL his senior year of high school, which is why he was redshirted as a freshman and then he had to endure shoulder surgery. I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do this year. I have to give him credit for pursuing what his passion is, it's just too bad it's not at UGA.

Hate to lose depth, but was thid kid ever really going to see the field?

And he realized this when? Two months before his 3rd year on campus? Yeah right... Its more to it. Heck if he would have did this near the spring game i would have believed it. Not counting the 2013 class going into next year we will be very thin at ILB. Why wouldn't have ever get the chance to play at UGA? Who would even know the talent that is Mike Gilliard? It took an injury for him to get a chance. But once he did, he seized it. He didn't give up. he put in the hard work and bounced on his chance. good things come to those that wait. If he knows he won't make it to the NFL. Then why not just stick it out and get a degree that means something. Because he thinks that if he goes elsewhere and " Shines " he'll still have a shot at the NFL. Can't be mad at him for that. But at least keep it real.

How can he make it to the nfl riding the bench here? I don't blame him for transferring out. You gotta do what's best for you in the end, not us fans.
