I'm normally quiet about young men de-comitting. Maybe they committed to early or maybe they want to be closer to home, etc. But to honestly say you don't want to compete! Competition makes any player better at any position in any sport. If he has aspirations of playing on Sunday then he damn sure better learn to compete.
Think we'd rather land North and a juco... Hopefully Rumph.
If you can't run with the big dawgs, stay home !!
Come on guys...he never said in the article that he was afraid to compete...it was the assistant coach talking. Kids change their minds all the time. Most were excited when he committed and now are saying we didnt want him anyway..its comical how a fan base turns on a 17 yr old kid.
Says The Wizard of Oz!
I can't read the article, but it sounds like the kid tucked his tail between his legs and crawled under the porch. Does he think the team he signs with will stop recruiting WRs? On the other hand, if he wants to play, maybe he's making the right decision.
