is like chasing a dollar bill on a string.
With the Braves, you always make the playoffs to get let down at some point. This year was losing in a new play-in game on an infamous infield fly rule.
The Hawks make the playoffs every year only to lose in the first round or semi-finals.
The Falcons and Bulldogs miss the Super Bowl and MNC by one score while in the red zone.
The life of a sports fan in Georgia is a tough one to live sometimes.

Its not easy but there's no teams I'd rather root for than Hawks, Braves, Falcons, and the Dawgs. Georgia fans will get what they deserve sooner or later.

I remember in the 70's when my dad and I had season tickets to the Falcons. The falcons had 3 games left in the season. Bob Lee, Dave Hampton, Tommy Nobis, Greg Brezina, Claude Humphrey and Kenny Burrows were some of the players. The falcons only had to win one of their last 3 games to go to playoffs against the Bengals, Broncos, and Browns. This was back during 12 game season. These 3 teams had only won 4 games between them all year.
Falcons lost all 3 games.............Dave Hampton rushed for 1000 yards and came back in the game for one more rush and he lost 4 yards and Ended with
996 yards. Yes another bad ending. Well, there is always next year!

I was at that game Bake..They stopped the game to award Hampton the game ball when he got 1000 yards..With under a minute or two to play they ran a sweep and he lost 4..

I was at the game against the Rams, where Hampton came back in an lost his 1,000 yard season. As heart breaking as today's game was (and the UGA game against Alabama), I much prefer contending for titles, than the alternative.
