For awhile, all that Georgia has had available in the way of engineering were BS in Agricultural, Biological or Environmental Engineering, however last year the Georgia Board of Regents approved the expansion of UGA's engineering program (much to the chagrin of Georgia Tech), and UGA is scheduled to begin it's Civil Engineering program in Fall of 2012. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programs are slated to begin in Fall of 2013.
We're not going to be able to win the battle for him if it comes down to who has the BETTER engineering program, with ours just starting up, but we will offer those programs by the time he enrolls.
