I never bought into their hype even though the cast of College Gameday was in love with them all season. To be sure, Clemson has some high level players and Dabo has done an excellent job making them relevant again, but they play in a weak conference, which makes the team look better than they actually are. IMO.

Just shows how weak the ACC is......and people think Clemson and FSU are NC contenders?????

Not surprising.

The ACC is not a good football conference by any measure. They are 2-13 in BCS games.

Their two wins?

When Florida State beat a then Big East Virginia Tech (which is somewhat ironic because you could argue that half of their BCS wins come against other ACC teams).

When Virginia Tech beat a Cincinatti team that had previously lost by 26 to Oklahoma and 24 to Connecticut.

People got fooled by Clemson because they remembered the ACC Championship game and all the sudden forgot about their horrible performance down the stretch. Ga Tech beat them 31-17. NC State beat them 37-13. South Carolina beat them 34-13.

Further padding to LSU's resume..
They beat the Rose Bowl champs on a neutral field and the Orange Bowl champs at their place.
LSU should get a piece of the title UNLESS they are totally blown out by Bama.

Not to good when Dabo talked about wanting people to remember the game as a defensive game. It was for sure and they will but for a lack of defense. The only reason WVU did not score a 100 points is that they go to damn tired from all the long plays they executed.

That missed FG ain't looking so bad now.....
