I went back and looked at the draft results this morning and there were a few things that stood out- there were some BIG reaches and some real value. Here's what I thought were the top 5 of both. Curious to see what ya'll think as well.
REACH
1. Bruce Irvin- 14- Seattle: Their arms are probably still sore 2. Kevin Zeitler- 27- Cincinnati: This guy was a late second rounder at best. They pick Glenn here and they have the best 1st round (picked Kirkpatrick at 17- great pick imo) out of everyone, yet instead they wet the bed. 3. Brandon Weeden- 22- Cleveland- SMH here. Could've easily gotten him with the 37th overall pick. 4. Mark Baron- 7- Tampa Bay: Very good player, just to high at 7 imo. 5. Stephon Gilmore-10- Buffalo: Again, a good player, but not top 10.
VALUE
1. David DeCastro- 24- Pittsburgh: SHOCKED he fell as far as he did. Everyone thought he had top 15 talent. Real steal. 2. Reilly Reiff- 23- Detroit: Pretty much the same feeling as DeCastro. Great pick imo. 3. Dre Kirkpatrick- 17- Cincinnati: Top ten talent that fell to 17 4. Melvin Ingram- 18- San Diego: Again, great pick at 18. 5. Michael Brockers- 14- Saint Louis: Kid is going to be a beast. STL has made some great moves so far.
