"....All I ask is that he be loyal to Georgia, proud of that jersey, and try like the devil to win." --- Wally Butts
A lot of people are predicting auburn, and i just can't understand why. I mean what can they offer that UGA can't. Playing time maybe, but then you have to think the positions these guys play will be seriously lacking in depth when they get on campus, an foster will play as a true frosh wherever he decides to go. Everything points to UGA imo. I think it could happen on Dawg Night. What y'all think?
Ha, its stuff like this that gets me throught the summer. Good job Rusty.
Once a Dawg always a Dawg...How sweet it is!
i think uga is in prime shape to land foster, wiggins and tray. kamara is the only one im unsure about.. i look at wiggins and tray visiting other schools, the same way drew did. and that is to make sure that recruits that they are recruiting dont lose sight of uga while on another visit...
If anyone doesn't think auburn is not a serious player for these guys then you have your head the sand. I'm worried about au here, I know.the guys are having fun with the process, but au is a real player here, more so than bama maybe in my opinion...
Johnny Dwight commits to Bama on 6/4/13 ranked the 44th DT in the nation by 247sports and 87 rating a 3 star. Now see the Bama bump.
Rusty, how concerned should we be about losing tray? He is a must imo.
War Eagle sucker.
War Eagle sucker.
War Eagle sucker.
Is one of these guys' fathers a pastor of a church in need of some renovation and I'm just not aware of it?
45-7! LMAO! WOW, Auburn fans are dumber than I thought!
Yes, all these guys are going to pick a 5 loss Auburn team over Bama and UGA who will both have double digit wins.
If what Matthews is saying is true than Foster will be a Dawg.
I see absolutely no way that Matthews, or even Wiggins decommits from UGA.
Just look at the situation. UGA will lose Rambo, and Williams to the NFL Draft. Two All SEC caliber players. So onbiously UGA has shown that we can develop safties, and put them into the NFL.
Look at the depth chart. Serious issues at safety in 2013. Corey Moore, and who else? Unless Bowman, or Dawson move to safety there really isnt anybody else. I am not so sure that Deas will ever see signifigant playing time.
As of now we only have one true safety commited for 2013. Tray Matthews. Matthews could not of picked a better year to graduate high school, and play safety at UGA. Just look at the opportunity any safety will have at UGA in 2013. I actually wish the situation wasnt as attractive as it is right now. A true freshman could very well start at safety for UGA in 2013. I wish we had more experienced talent myself but we wont.
Matthews is commited to UGA. It is his dream school. We are about to put two safeties into the NFL as pretty decent draft picks. It almost looks like it was Matthews destinty to play safety at UGA. The timing is just perfect for him. It would make absolutely no sense for Matthews to decommit.
I could proably say the same thing about Wiggins. Although the situation at CB in 2013 wont be quite the same as safety. While we will need some freshman to contribute at CB in 2013 we will have some depth. Hopefully we wont need a freshman to start at CB in 2013. Proabably Swann, and Mitchell at CB in 2013. If Mitchell is a WR maybe Steve Nelson gets a shot st starting? I would still see a Dawson, or Bowman starting in 2013 in that scenario. Also dont forget about Chris Sanders. If he is allowed to return he has a great chance to start at either CB, or safety.
Look at safety, CB, and ILB. We will need players to play immediately at those positions. Safety, and ILB the most. We could lose 3 ILB's to the 2013 NFL Draft. So just like safety the kids see that we are putting ILB's into the NFL, and their is room for immediate playing time in 2013. It would actually make a lot of sense for Foster to choose UGA.
Foster, and Matthews have a great chance at starting in 2013. I wish that wasnt the case. Yet it is. I hope we use it to our advantage.Hopefully Ogletree returns for 2013. I actually think their is a pretty good chance he will. If he does return Foster will probably not start in 2013. Ogletree, and Herrera will be the starters at ILB. Foster would still get a lot of playing time though.
