but i do think after the first 3 games beard & Austin will be in a better position to provide depth if needed and that would give us a good 8.

The philosophy at Georgia has been to put the best offensive lineman at LT (regardless of who it is). That's why Glenn was there last season. It's why Gates is there this season. It's why Theus might move over as he proves himself.

Regarding Gates' pedigree, I'm concerned. He's been benched each of the past 2 seasons because of his production on the field. Now, he's supposed to be even better at left tackle?

Regarding everyone's comments (coaches, players, media), I'm optimistic. I haven't heard a negative thing said since January about Kenarious. He has been unchallenged at the position.. But everything has pointed to him earning that early status as LT starter.

Like you said, we gotta trust the coaches on this one. They aren't always right, but they know a heckofalot more about these players than just about anyone on this board.

G, I know that much has been made about 'Boss' Andrews lining up against Geathers and Jenkins to some good success. Have they thrown Cornelius Washington, Abry Jones, and Jarvis Jones at him? And if yes, has he seen the same success?

Andrews did an excellent job the first half of the spring game against John Jenkins.
However the first snap where Jenkins moved over RG and Washington moved over Center, Cornelius got by David Andrews like he was standing still.

I guess I'm saying that there aren't a lot of John Jenkins on our schedule this season. I hope they are preparing him for the Washington's, Abry's, and Jarvis', too.
