What about Robert Nkemdiche? Sorry if this is old question.

  • I know I should know this, but are the Dawgs not at least in the running for this guy? I saw Alabama is "the team to beat" or whatever. Might he be another Jordan Jenkins who we can flip from Bama?

  • I hate to say this, but its a totally different scenario with RN. He will go to Bama unless something very drastic happens, ie Saban not being there. Aside from that, he'll be at UA.

  • Well - here's to Saban getting tired of the pressure and giving the NFL another shot! Go Dawgs!

  • Rather have foster anyway he is more of a need

But it would be fun to steal somebody else from bama

  • If we the fans recruit the kid at the grocery store, at the mall, at Mc Donalds, I don't care where he's at, we can get this kid.

Sounds like it would do more harm than good

What's the back story here? Why can't we get him? Enough is enough of losing these top-rated Georgia kids to bleepin' Alabama

Basically, Kirby Smart and the fact we went 6- and CMR was on the "hot seat." His coach is an ex-BAMA player but he's not steering the kid to BAMA like people want to believe.

Let's face it, some of our fans have helped Kirby Smart's recruiting efforts the past couple years. All he had to do was say to a kid "YOu think CMR is gonna be there all your time there? Even the fans want him gone."

    KILL EM ALL

  • Kirby Smart is one of the most negative recruiters in the SEC. Nkemdiche and Foster are those elite prospects that (need to) get attention starting when they are sophomore's in HS. Both of these guys were that good then and even better now. 247 Sports have them the top two prospects in the country for goodness sake. For some reason - (national championships, ESPN darling, Sabin's relentless attention to recruiting, winning, etc) Alabama seems to do a mush better job than anyone else in the country right now in recruiting these elite prospects from day one. Richt & Co. seem to have a better jump on the 2013 class than they had on 2012, but I bet Sabin & Co. are already filtering videos and enrollees in camps for the 2014 class; that's just how they operate. Until Richt devotes his life to football (not going to happen, he's a Godly man that understands that it's just a game & that he has a higher calling) that's the way it's going to be.

I think UGA has a chance, but Lady luck will have to be on our side, and Grantham will really, I Mean REALLY have to step up to the plate recruiting these blue chippers.

I would love to see TG throw out all the stops to get Robert Nkemdiche! But I cant see it with RN high school coach (Mickey Conn) being a bama grad. He will hand him right to Saban and Smart unfortunately. banghead

Regardless of anything you hear from ANYONE else (OM fans, AU fans, etc) there is NO other team in the running for RN than Bama. End of story. Conn will not let him go anywhere else.

Foster is who we need to flip. He is better and we need him more anyway.

Yes, he is steering him to Bama. He isn't an asshole, not gonna let him visit anywhere else, etc sort of thing, but there is exactly 0% chance that RN goes anywhere but Bama and Conn is a very large part of that.

There are posters that know Mickey and/or don't want to make the HS coaches mad and so try to pretend he isn't, but he is. Like I said, it isn't Randy Mac at Lowndes style steering, but Conn IS steering him to Bama. Nobody else has any chance.
