Who are you?

  • I am curious about who, where you are, what you love about the Dawgs, etc. Feel free to post or not, whatever info you feel comfortable sharing.

I live in Valosta Ga. Been a Dawg fan my whole life. 36 years old, married with twin 3 yr old boys. I flunked out because classes were getting in the way of my drinking and partying. Ended up going to Valdosta State University. Spent most of the last decade in ministry helping people with life controlling problems. I am currently an insurance marketer, recruiting agents around the country to sell Medicare supplements. I love God, cooking, PTI, working in the yard, game day, and playing with my kids.

I have always been a Dawg. The 90's were tough. This last decade of national relevance in football has been incredible. I like football, but I love college football. I can watch Toledo vs Ohio University with ease. Also enjoy everything Bulldog. Midnight in the garden of good and evil was great, if only because of Uga and Sonny Seiler were in it. I just wish UGA had a great basketball team. I might actually be able to get into it then. Never really enjoyed basketball.

If anyone ever has a Medicare question, feel free to message me.

  • Waycross, GA born and raised. 24 Yr old Pre-Nursing student at Waycross College right now. Was at VSU but I dropped out because I couldn't decide on a major after I realized Music Education was not the thing for me. Also work full time in the IT field while going to school.

Been a Dawg fan for as long as I can remember. My dad and grandfather are both Tech fans (God bless em...) so I'm not really sure how that happened. Love high school and college football and, even though I watch the NFL, I really don't invest too much emotion in it. Ready to see my Dawgs win a MNC and my Gators (Ware) win State.

  • Im Jonathon, 26 yrs old from Douglasville, Ga but I live in Heflin, Al. I graduate this summer from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Political Science and minor in Homeland Security. I work for Williams Form Engineering where I am an outside salesmen, been there for about 5 years now. Spend most of my summers at my lake house in Wedowee, Al. It's the best place around my neck of the woods for a good ole boy. Been a Dawg fan my whole life. My family is made of Dawg fans going back 2-3 generations. (my papa always talks about always having to listen to the games on the radio). I love everything about the Dawgs and Athens and hoping in a couple years I can finally afford season tickets so I can take
My Dad and Papa whenever I want.

  • Currently going to school at Valdosta State, originally from Alpharetta. 2010 graduate of St. Pius. I'm transferring back up here next year. I wrote for the school newspaper the last two years and I've also wrote for the Valdosta Daily Times (I've covered football, softball, basketball in my time down here...). I am majoring in business marketing, though, and in the summer I work for an insurance company in Atlanta. I haven't decided if that's what I want to do though, still trying to sift through it all. I'll be at G-Day, so yall look for me!

  • I am fortunate that I still live in Athens. Basically, I came to Athens to attend UGA and never left. I graduated in 1998 with a BSA in Agribusiness and I currently work as a Compliance Training Specialist for a pharmaceutical manufacturer. I could have cared less about football until I became a member of the Redcoat Band. I marched for four seasons ('93-'96) and loved every minute of it! I've been a season ticket holder since 1999 and my love for the Dawgs has just gotten greater and greater over the years. godawgs

  • Born in Macon,Ga. I played ball at Mount de Sales Academy. Joined the Air force in 98 and now I reside in Ventura, California. It's beautiful out here. Beautiful women, beautiful weather, beautiful ocean and mountains! But there's no place like home!

My first visit to Sanford Stadium was in 1980 at the age of three. although i dont remember much, I do remember that there were a looooottttt of people there. I've been a fan since! Die hard fan! Even though i live in cali, I still rep UGA! t shirts, hats, key chains, flag at the front door, etc..........

  • I'm Kit, 31 years old, recently married and have been a Dawgs fan all of my life, but it grew exponentially the moment I stepped on campus in 1999 for my first practice as a Redcoat. Since then, I've written about the Dawgs under my own blog, The Dawg-gone Blog, and now I write over at Dawg Sports and host The Dawg Gone Podcast. Dawgs247's very own Gentry Estes has been a guest (and is welcome back anytime) and I'd love to have Rusty on someday as well.

What I love about Georgia is that no matter what happens, UGA, to me, is a certain level above everything else. No, we're not going to win 10 games every season and we'll only challenge on the national stage as a true threat once every four years or so, and I'm OK with that. I don't have this feeling that championships are my birthright. I do feel that doing things the "Georgia Way" is, though. If you tear through the multiple books written about UGA, it's more than football...it's something deeper and really only understood by those who have spent months, if not years, in Athens, interacting with all its quirks along the way. For this reason, even though I grew up in Perry, GA (and currently live in Atlanta), I consider Athens my true home.

Why UGA? My buddy puts it perfectly when he says that "No matter what happens, we're still from Georgia and they're still not."

The Dawg-gone Podcast: The perfect mix of eternal optimism and hatred for Georgia Tech. It's like real journalism, except not at all.

  • Scott Williams here. I was born and raised in Dalton, GA. I attended Dalton Junior College where I majored in Pre-Engineering. I received a full academic scholarship to UGA. I only attended one semester and transferred to get my engineering degree. Being a life long Dawg fan I couldn't let myself attend Tech so I went to Southern Tech in Marietta. I went to work for Lockheed Martin after graduation. I transferred to our plant here in Pinellas Park, FL where I am the Assembly Manager. I have been with Lockheed Martin for 20 years.

I absolutely love living in Florida just like cdcraw. I love to spend as much time fishing as possible. My only problem is I don't haven't own boat so I have to rely on my buddies to get out on the water.

My wife, Leann, is a graduate of Tech so it gets a little testy during football season. We have 3 boys and she is the counselor at Citrus Park Christian School where our boys attend school as well. She got her Masters degree from USF. We are season ticket holders to USF football since we love college football.
